Current cup: Raspberry Chocolate by Michael’s Gourmet Coffee.
It’s time for another Morning Coffee post, where I pitch some word stew onto my blog and see if I can find anything of substance. Let’s get started, shall we?
-This past Monday I had a little doctor visit and the news was actually good for once. I don’t need another MRI for eighteen months. That spot in Rightie? It hasn’t gotten any bigger and it isn’t doing much of anything. Which is good. So I’m good for a while.
-That vacation that Bill O’Reilly is taking? Yeah, it seems to be quite permanent. Welcome to the No Job Zone, Mr. O’Reilly. Enjoy your stay.
-It’s more or less spring here in Wisconsin. We actually have some green on the lawns and some of the trees are sporting buds and leaves. Now if only the temps would stay relatively stable and the skies would clear out it would actually be nice around here.
-So, this is a thing:
I’ve watched it three times and I can’t stop smiling. David Tennant as Scrooge doesn’t just work, it freaking MAKES this. He nails it in every regard; just go ahead and crown this guy King of the Nerds!
-This is also a thing and it is freaking glorious:
When June comes rolling around, I will be so broke but very happy.
-I’m pretty much officially done with certain blogs. No, not the ones on Patheos Atheist but some others that used to be relatively reasonable aren’t anymore. It’s a bit sad to see certain ones collapse but when the founding blogger seems to have gone full bore narcissist, then it’s time to walk away.
-Found an amazing article via Slate dealing with retail collapse. Go and give it a read.
-Facebook has seemingly gotten worse as of late. Seriously.
-This has been my earworm for the last couple of weeks. I love the hell out of this song, I just wish it would get the hell out of my head!
-I’m about to take on the E4 in Moon. I just want to train my team a bit more, as I’m in the mid fifties. I’d rather be at 65 when I climb the mountain. I’m still a bit burned over my Festival Plaza, though. I missed out on a couple of really nice, higher end Lotto shops because I didn’t have enough money to get an intro and I couldn’t make the PC a VIP so I could talk to them later. Don’t ask me the hows or whys of this, but it’s happened to others as well.
-Remember those Transformers gift baskets I bought a couple of years ago? The Robots in Disguise ones? Well, I recently had Prime pop one open and I’m using the included mug for my coffee now. So now I have a Bumblebee coffee mug, replete with a lid from another mug that fits it perfectly. As a Transformer fan, I have arrived.
And that should do it for today. Tune in next time where I toss some letters skyward and hope that some of them land into combinations that form words. Until then!
