162 Days of Summer

A few highlights from last night’s game.

-Suter got his very first home run. Not in the bigs, but of his career. He hit a dinger off Kluber, who is a Cy Young award winner. Suter is the third player in MLB history to hit a homer off a Cy Young winner.

-Suter’s walk up music is absolutely boss: it’s the theme from Jurassic Park. I am not kidding. Oh and after that home run, there was a celebration in the dugout, complete with raptor noises. Rawr, indeed.

-It doesn’t look good for poor Wade Miley. It seems he’s now dealing with an oblique strain and he had just gotten off the DL not horribly long ago. Who knows what the timeline may be for his return.

-Manny Piña’s at bat in the eighth… Argh! This was something like fourteen pitches, which Piña kept fouling off but it ends in a called strike three. No one was happy with that one.

-Even worse? The bases were loaded. I was hoping for some awesome but it did not happen.

-Hader nailed it down in the last two innings. Now this is some Haderade that I can enjoy.

-It was a helluva night for injuries; Nick Franklin is headed to the DL with a quad strain and Vogt is looking at surgery. I don’t like how this looks.

-The Crew managed to win by a score of 3 – 2. Not too shabby.

-Prime got us tickets to the game on the 22nd. Expect another update from Miller Park, along with a new pin or two. More baseball! Woo!

About Silverwynde

I'm a Transformers fan, Pokémon player, Brewers fan and all-out general nerd. I rescue abandoned Golett, collect as many Bumblebee decoys and figures as I can find and I've attended every BotCon--official and non--since 1999. I'm also happily married to a fellow Transfan named Prime and we were both owned by a very intelligent half-Siamese cat, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 16, 2018. We still miss him. But we're now the acting staff of a Maine Coon kitty named Lulu, who pretty much rules the house. Not that we're complaining about that.
